Questions we get every week

Straight answers.

Do I get to approve a proof before you print?

Yes, every order. You see a proof and nothing prints until you approve it.

How fast can I get it?

Shop products are ready 1 to 3 business days after you approve the final proof. Table covers take 3 to 5. Custom signage depends on permits and fabrication, and we give you a date up front.

Can I pick it up instead of paying shipping?

Yes. Free pickup at 243 Union Blvd in Totowa during shop hours. We also ship anywhere in the US, and shipping is calculated at checkout.

Is design work free?

No. Design work is a paid service on every product, a flat fee per order shown on the product page. Add it and we lay out your sign from your logo and text and send a proof. Checking your file and the proof itself are always free.

Is installation included in the price?

Shop products are priced for pickup or shipping. On custom signage, every quote lists the sign, installation, permit, and electrical as separate lines with one total, so nothing shows up later.

Do I need a permit for my storefront sign?

Often, yes. Totowa and most nearby towns require a permit before a sign goes up. We check your town's code and your lease's sign rules before we build, and we handle the permit.

Will my landlord approve the sign?

Send us the sign section of your lease and we design to it before anything is fabricated.

Will the colors match my logo?

We print from your file and match your brand colors as closely as the material allows. Screens show color differently than print, so tell us if you have a color you need matched and we check it before we run the job.

My logo is low resolution. Can you fix it?

Often, yes, as a paid design service. If a file will not print well we tell you before we print, not after, and we are not responsible for print quality from a pixelated file you approve. Vector files (PDF, AI, EPS, SVG) are best; a sharp PNG or JPG works for many products.

How long will it last outside?

By material: 13 oz vinyl banners last seasons outdoors when hung tight; corrugated plastic yard signs last a season to a year before the sun softens the colors; aluminum and ACM panels last years; laminated car graphics and decals last years; magnets are temporary and come off for washing.

Do yard signs come double-sided, with stakes?

Single or double-sided, your choice on the product page. Wire stakes are an add-on so you only pay for what you need.

Should I get magnets or car graphics for my truck?

Magnets are quick and removable, good for a vehicle you also use personally. Car graphics look more permanent and more professional, cost about the same for a pair of doors, and last for years. We will tell you which fits your vehicle and budget.

How big does the text need to be to read it from the road?

A rough rule: one inch of letter height for every ten feet of viewing distance. Keep the service and the phone number biggest. We check readability on every proof.

Can I reorder the same sign with a small change?

Yes. Tell us the order and the change, like a new phone number, and we send a new proof.

Why do channel letter quotes vary so much between shops?

LED grade, raceway versus flush mount, metal gauge, the electrical run, and permit fees all move the price. We explain what each option buys and offer good, better, and best.

How much deposit do you need on a custom job, and when is it installed?

A deposit holds your spot in production and your install date, which goes in writing on the quote. The balance is due before installation or pickup.

Where is it actually made?

Here. Every print is designed, printed, and fabricated at our shop in Totowa, New Jersey. Stands, frames, and posts are hardware we stock.

Can I talk to a person?

Yes. Call or text (551) 800-1892, email signedup.info@gmail.com, or walk in during shop hours.

Do you make real estate riders and open house signs?

Yes. Rigid panels, riders in corrugated plastic or metal, A-frames, and posts. Send us your brokerage sign spec and we design to it. Compliance with advertising rules stays with the licensee, but we flag anything that looks off.

What if something is wrong when I pick it up?

Tell us within 7 days. If it does not match the approved proof or arrived damaged, we reprint it. Once a proof is approved, custom work cannot be cancelled or refunded, so check every detail before you approve.

Still wondering? (551) 800-1892 or send a note.
